I'm not sure if it is clear from the above messages, but you need to download the Update.zip folder to your computer and then Extract the contents to your computer. When done you should have a folder called update with several files inside. Format your SD card and then place the Update folder (not Update.zip) onto your SD card. I am going through the update, and after unziping the update folder, I have 4 files: update.cmd, WF3.01-app.bin, HD3.09-firmware.bin, and settings.in. When I attempt to drag these files to my SD card, I am unable. When I open the third step web page, the download button already appears grey without pressing it and the wheel just spins without downloading the update files. The GoPro customer service told me that there is a problem on the GoPro web site since from Thursday, March 16, only for Hero3 Black update.
